The Friends Meeting House, Brook Street, Great Bardfield

18 January – 22 March 2010, 8pm

Presented by Professor Chris Green

Composers have long been fascinated and inspired by works of art. The series examines some case studies, as well as exploring the relationship between some artists and music of the same period.

Excursion - Saturday 10 April 2010.

Coach trip from Gt Bardfield to Ipswich to visit

Christchurch Mansion (Gainsborough, Constable).

A guided tour around the historic city centre.

St. Peters Church.

To see the spectacular Charter Hangings; embroideries designed by Isobel Clover    celebrating the granting of a Charter to Ipswich by King John in 1200 A.D. 

     

All are welcome - You do not need to have attended the course to come on the visit.
