February 21st Tuesday 8pm-we are delighted to announce that we will have Jim Buttress to give a talk entitled:-
“Royal Parks and Gardens”
Trained at Wisley, Jim commenced his horticultural career at Croydon Parks before moving to the Greater London Council. He is a former superintendent of the Royal Parks and RHS judge for Britain in Bloom. He was responsible for the displays in St James’s Park and the beds outside Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. A popular speaker, he devotes much of his time giving talks to societies and charities. He gained notoriety for his television appearances in the series “Return to Lullingstone Castle” and “A Passion for Plants”. This should be an interesting well illustrated talk.
