Meetings

Once upon a time there was a W.I. in Great Bardfield!

For various  reasons, mainly financial, we decided 1992 to 'go independent'.

The Tuesday Club (so called because we meet on the second Tuesday of each month) was formed in December 1992.

Our aim is to maintain a group of friends who meet for talks and demonstrations on many subjects. Occasionally a theatre visit or an outing is arranged and sometimes we go for a meal out together. If we think our men folk and friends would be interested in a particular event we have an open meeting to which all are invited.

The venue for talks etc. is Great Bardfield Town Hall and we usually begin at 8:00 pm. There is a raffle, and tea or coffee and biscuits are served during the evening.

Each year we chose a charity to support and make an effort to raise money by various means - plant stall, book, book swap &c. In 2003 we were able to send a cheque for £250 to the CREAMER fund.

We welcome visitors to our meetings and we would be pleased to increase our membership. Currently we have over thirty members paying an annual subscription of £10.50.

More information is available from Marian McDonald on 01371 810578.
