Mark Wells

My wife, Lorraine and I moved out to the country in 2004. In Great Bardfield we found both the environment and community that we had hoped for. Both of us were still travelling into London every day for work, travelling home we were amazed that we now lived in the type of place we had previously visited for relaxing breaks.

My career has been in Office Interiors and Commercial Removals and some of the skills I have learned can be applied in this role, Project Management, Risk Assessments, Managing teams and Budgeting.

I am Group Lead Volunteer at the local Scout Group and have experience of working with and supporting local youth. I am also a Trustee of two local Scout related charities.

I have been a long-term member of the Great Bardfield Community Choir, taking part in local events and supporting fund raising activities around the village, whilst enjoying the camaraderie and friendship of the group.

My goal is to help to maintain the character of Great Bardfield Village and the community spirit of its residents, whilst developing to meet the challenges of the modern world.
